Procedure:
Go to the forums and click on the spammer's name. You will see the users profile. Now you can click on "administrate user" or simply click on "banning".
If you clicked "banning" the moderator control panel will open and automatically fill in the data of that user. Simply fill in the lenght of the ban and optional the reason and/or the reason shown to all other users and click submit.
Every admin and moderator can do this.
Unfortunately the fact is that he will only be banned, but not deleted from the forums. The forums will still be full of spam, but not spammed any longer.
So if we go back to the spammers profile - like in the beginning - click on "administrate user". This is only for administrators, not for moderators. You must re-authenticate yourself in order to proceed to the administrator control panel. These are the same as for logging in.
In the following screen you see some basic options you can do. On the bottom you see the option we want to do, so scroll down to "Basic Tools".
On the quick-tools drop-down menu select ban by user-name, ban by e-mail or ban by ip.
Select "delete user".
Select "delete posts" at the delete user drop-down menu.
If you can't find the user or simply want to ban some bad ip's or usernames go to the administration control panel, known as "Forum ACP" below the Login box on the left of your screen. Log in as usual and go to the "Users and Groups" tab.
I think the rest will speak for themselves.
If you still have some idiot questions (Jim) feel free
